Mercedes Benz - original late 1980s/ 1990s cobalt blue gold plated vitreous enamel badge remounted onto a new leather keyfob

Two original Mercedes Benz keyfob badges which we would think will have been produced in the late 1980s or 1990s which we have remounted onto new leather keyfobs as can be seen in the photos .

We have just 2 keyrings with these badges to offer – when both keyrings have been sold this listing will be cancelled .

This listing is for just one keyring .

Both of the badges mounted onto these keyfobs are in mint condition with gold plating and dark cobalt blue vitreous enamel – superb badges .

We have remounted them onto new leather keyfobs in full grain black leather .

Mercedes Benz keyfob badges in the 1970s were generally solid badges but by the 1980s often had 3 perforated sections milled out of the badge like these 2 examples which made them rather attractive and set them apart from other Mercedes Benz keyfob badges made before and since.

By the 1990s the badges had generally reverted back to being solid again- although we think that these two badges could date from the 1990s as the plating is bright gold plating rather than the gilt plating used on earlier badges .

Superb keyrings with a badge which will be original & correct for any 1980s or 1990s Mercedes Benz motor car but would also look great used as a ‘retro’ keyrings with a classic touch in a much later car .
