Mercedes Benz - original vintage 1980s? dealership keyring by Caxton of Kew with genuine blue leather keyfob

An original Mercedes Benz dealership keyring which we would think will have been issued in the 1980s .

We have just this one example of this keyring – when this keyring has been sold this listing will be cancelled.

An excellent example of the type of high quality keyring which would have been issued with a new Mercedes Benz motor car 30 or 40 years ago – with a vitreous enamel badge mounted onto a keyfob in genuine blue leather .

The dealership who issued this keyring even attended to the small detail of using navy blue leather for the keyfob  ( Many original keyrings for Mercedes Benz were produced in navy blue leather at the time )

This keyring is in superb condition and does not appear to have ever been used .

The vitreous enamel badge is mounted onto a keyfob in genuine navy blue leather silver embossed with the details of the dealership which issued it .

The vitreous enamel badge has a granulated ground beneath the central translucent blue enamel which gives a most attractive ‘ glittering’ effect .

The keyring was made by Caxton of Kew – Caxtons were known for producing high quality keyrings at the time and have now sadly been closed for many years .

This keyring would be the perfect addition to a car known to have been supplied by this dealership at the time or could be used with any Mercedes Benz car of the period.

We do not generally list original dealership keyrings for many makes of car – but there seems to be particular interest by owners of Mercedes Benz cars and we receive quite a few original Mercedes Benz dealership keyfob badges for remounting – which is not the case for other makes of car .
