Mercedes Benz – original vintage new old stock 1990s ? Manhattan Windsor ‘golden star’ keyring

An original Mercedes Benz ‘Golden Star’ keyring which we would date as having been produced in the 1990s .

We have just this one example of this keyring to offer – when this keyring has been sold this listing will be cancelled .

We would think that this keyring dates from the 1990s and features the classic Mercedes Benz golden star.

The keyring is new old stock and is still mounted onto the original display card as can be seen in the photos .

The gilt plated badge is mounted onto a keyfob in genuine full grain black leather gold embossed on the reverse ‘ TOP GRAIN LEATHER ‘ .

It is unusual to find one of these keyrings in this new old stock condition still on it’s original display card and still within the original cellophane sleeve as Mercedes Benz keyrings tended to receive a lot of use – just as the cars themselves did at that time.

Mercedes Benz cars were not bought at that time to be left in the garage !

The keyring was made by Manhattan Windsor of Birmingham – their M over W logo is marked on the reverse of the badge – they were the principal UK manufacturer of automotive keyrings in the 1990s and the quality of their keyrings has never been equalled before or since .

Sadly they closed their doors some time back .

The keyring in the photos is the actual keyring which you will receive – these ‘gold star ‘keyrings are one of the defining Mercedes Benz keyrings and original examples do not come any better than this one – the best of the best .
