NOW SOLD – sorry this keyring has now been sold and can no longer be ordered
A superb original new old stock Mercedes Benz keyring which will have been produced in the late 1960s or 1970s .
We have just this one example of this keyring to offer – when it has been sold this listing will be cancelled .
This keyring is in new old stock condition and will probably never have been used .
It constantly amazes us that 50 year old keyrings like this one still turn up in this brand new condition and we wonder where they can have been for all those years !
Possibly long forgotten together with the car that accompanied them and hidden at the back of a drawer ?
The jewellery quality nickel plated vitreous enamel badge is of the correct design for 1970s cars – the badge is solid without the cut-out perforations which followed in the 1980s .
The badge is mounted onto a keyfob in a particularly fine grained grade of genuine black leather gold embossed on the reverse ‘ TREND- REAL LEATHER ‘ .
The leather keyfob has some internal stiffening so that it’s shape maintains in use rather than becoming rather supple as most leather keyrings do .
This keyring really is a miniature work of art !
Keyrings like this one were produced by a British Company known as ‘ TREND ‘ who also made keyrings for other makes of car .
Very little can be found out about ‘TREND’ but they may have had a connection with Alexander Accessories – Alexanders marketed high quality wooden rimmed steering wheels, keyrings and other good quality accessories at the time .
The keyring in the photos is the actual one which you will receive – a superb keyring and the only Mercedes Benz keyring of it’s type which we have ever listed .
