Mercedes Benz – vitreous enamel 1970s design large badge remounted onto a new leather keyfob

An original vitreous enamel Mercedes Benz keyfob badge which we have remounted onto a new leather keyfob as can be seen in the photos .

We have just this one keyring with this badge to offer – when it has been sold this listing will be cancelled.

This large nickel plated badge is in ‘old school’ cobalt blue vitreous enamel and is in excellent condition apart from a very small dark area at edge of the right hand granulated nickel plated segment surrounding the Mercedes Benz star where the nickel plating has disappeared and also some slight wear to the plating in that segment – this can be seen in the enlarged high resolution listing photos .

Having said this the badge does present very well when viewed at life size in the hand .

Whilst the badge is of the typical 1970s keyfob design we do not think that it will have been produced as early as the 1970s but will have some age as it is in vitreous enamel rather than the later resin based enamel .

A very large keyfob badge measuring 40mm in diameter rather than the more usual 27mm which we usually see keyfob badges measuring ……….so this keyring makes a very bold statement !

We have remounted the badge onto a new keyfob in full grain black leather .
