Mercury Comet - original vintage late 1960s/early 1970s keyring with tan leather keyfob

An original Mercury Comet keyring which will date from the late 1960s or early 1970s and will be correct for Mercury Comet of that period .

The keyring is in excellent condition with a vitreous enamel badge mounted onto a genuine tan leather keyfob.

At the time when this keyring was made the badge enamel was hand laid and there is very slight overspill of cobalt blue enamel into the red enamel as can be seen in the enlarged high resolution photos – all part of the charm of vintage keyrings !

Almost all keyrings for the world’s cars were produced in England in the 1960s & 1970s – it was quite an industry- ‘Made in England’ marked on the back of the badge.
