Mercury Cougar - original 1970s/ 1980s acrylic badge remounted onto a new leather keyfob

The keyring in this listing has original Mercury Cougar keyfob badge which will have been produced around 40 years ago which we have remounted onto a new leather keyfob as can be seen in the photos.

These acrylic badges were originally made by Renamel Ltd of 10, Kilburn High Road London although by the 1980s they had relocated to Honeypot Lane also in London .

At that time almost all keyrings for the world’s cars were still being made in England – it was quite an industry .

Renamel badges are easily recognisable by the made in england statement engraved on the back of the badge .

The badges have lasted very well over the years – in many cases better than the traditional vitreous enamel badges as they have the advantage of not chipping when dropped onto a concrete floor !

This badge is in excellent condition and we have remounted it onto a new leather keyfob so it is now good for another 30+ years !

This badge is original & correct for use with any Mercury Cougar motor car of the period .
