MG ( MGA & early MGB ) - original 1960s vitreous enamel on gilt badge by Freeline of Bristol? remounted onto a new leather keyfob

An original MG keyfob badge which will have been produced in the 1960s which we have remounted onto a new leather keyfob as can be seen in the photos .

We have just this one keyring with this badge to offer – when it has been sold this listing will be cancelled .

What a lovely badge !

This original MG keyfob badge is in lovely condition with translucent red & solid black vitreous enamelling .

The bright gilt plating has mellowed over the years ( as gilt plating usually does ) to give a soft ‘ antique gold ‘ appearance .

Occasionally the camera ‘ picks up ‘ things which are not actually there ( at least our camera does ! )

The shadowing over the gilt MG lettering is not visible when the badge is viewed in the flesh !

‘ MADE IN ENGLAND ‘ cast into the reverse of the badge in a very distinctive recess which leads us to believe that the badge will have been produced by Freeline of Bristol.

We have remounted the badge onto a keyfob in black saddlery hide – and the badge is now ready for the next 50 years !

The badge on this keyring will be date correct for 1955-1962 MGA, 1953-1958 Magnette ZA & ZB, very early 1961-on MG Midget and very early 1962-on MGB.
