MG ( MGA ) – original late 1950s/ early 1960s black & white on gilt vitreous enamel badge remounted onto a new keyfob in British racing green leather

An original MG keyfob badge which will have been produced in the late 1950s or early 1960s which we have remounted onto a new leather keyfob as can be seen in the photos.

When this keyring with this badge has been sold this listing will be cancelled .

We have just this one keyring with this gilt badge in black & white vitreous enamel to offer – and what a superb keyring !

This keyring has an original late 1950s or early 1960s vitreous enamel on gilt badge which we have remounted onto a new keyfob in full grain ‘vintage’ British Racing Green leather .

The badge is in really excellent condition for it’s age and will probably have been made with MGA or MG Magnette in mind – in the late 1950s and 1960s there were many of these cars in daily use on the roads .

The vitreous enamel is so shiny and lustrous that it could have been fired yesterday and the gilt plating has mellowed to an attractive ‘ old gold ‘ appearance as gilt plating usually does.

No maker’s name on the back but almost certainly made in Birmingham .

In the 1960s there were many small vitreous enamellers in Birmingham – very few of which have left any trace of their existence or whereabouts .
