1 in stock

An original MG keyring which will have been produced in the 1970s or 1980s for the many thousands of MG and MGB cars which were on the roads in daily use at the time .

Just this one example to offer of this keyring in this age worn condition  -when this keyring has been sold this listing will be cancelled.

Keyrings like this one would have been considered unsaleable a few years ago but attitudes have changed and keyrings like this one are now prized for use in cars which have not suffered the indignity of over- restoration .

This keyring is in age-worn but good serviceable condition with a vitreous enamel badge mounted onto a keyfob in full grain black leather gold embossed ‘ TOP GRAIN LEATHER ‘ .

The vitreous enamel badge has some enamel chips around the edge from 6 o’clock to 9 o’clock on the face of the badge – these can be seen in the enlarged high resolution listing photos .

The genuine black leather keyfob is well worn in but still perfectly serviceable with good tight stitching .

The gold embossed ‘TOP GRAIN LEATHER’ on the reverse of the keyfob has almost worn away .

Made by the famous Manhattan Windsor Co. of Birmingham – their details are cast into the back of the badge.

Manhattan Windsor were the premier manufacturer of automotive keyrings in England in the 1970s – the quality of their keyrings has never been bettered since.

These keyrings will have been produced for use with MGB in mind but would also be correct for Midget or any MG of the period ( MG 1100 etc ) – some cars are still being used with one of these very keyrings which will have been with the car since new.

These keyrings were produced over quite a time span – from the 1970s onwards.

The keyring in the photos is the actual one which you will receive .
