Mini-Cooper – original 1960s vitreous enamel on gilt badge remounted onto a new leather keyfob

An original Mini Cooper keyfob badge which will have been produced in the 1960s which we have remounted onto a new leather keyfob as can be seen in the photos.

We have just this one keyring with this badge to offer – when it has been sold this listing will be cancelled.

It is very rare to find an original keyfob badge which actually states : ‘ MINI COOPER ‘ .

Keyfob badges were produced for MINI or COOPER but rarely for MINI COOPER .

This original gilt plated MINI COOPER keyfob badge is in really excellent condition with hand laid vitreous enamel in solid black and translucent red vitreous enamel .

In the 1960s badges were still being produced in England with vitreous enamel which was individually hand laid and no two badges ever turned out exactly the same .

The vitreous enamel in this badge is in superb condition with none of the usual enamel chips or surface scratches .

Being hand laid it has a couple of dimples in the black enamel – which show that the enamel was hand laid .

The gilt plating has mellowed to give a most attractive  soft ‘ antique gold ‘ appearance – this badge really looks it’s age .

‘ MADE IN ENGLAND ‘ marked onto the back of the badge .

This badge is original & correct for use with any 1960s Mini Cooper – but could be used with a much later car as a rather nice ‘ retro’ keyring .
