Morris Mini Minor - original late 1950s badge mounted onto a 1970s? leather keyfob

An original vitreous enamel badge which will have been produced in the 1950s which is mounted onto a later leather keyfob which we would date as being from the 1970s .

We would think that the badge on this keyring was made by Simons Concessionaires of London in the 1950s and was never originally mounted onto a keyfob at the time .

As quite commonly happened – another manufacturer would then have bought the stock of badges at a later date and mounted them onto keyfobs later  probably in the 1970s .

This keyring is in good condition with a vitreous enamel badge mounted onto a keyfob in genuine black leather .

The vitreous enamelling in the badge is perfect but there is some slight loss of nickel plating on the left hand edge of the badge – this can be seen in the enlarged high resolution listing photos .

We would think that this badge would have been intended to be used  with the split windscreen 1952 – 1956 Morris Minor Series II which was sometimes known at the time as the ‘Mini Minor’ – not to be confused with the 1959 onwards Morris Mini.

The keyring in the photos is the actual one which you will receive .
