An original vintage Morris keyring which will have been produced in the 1960s .

When this keyring in this age worn condition has been sold this listing will be cancelled .

We have just this one example to offer of this original vintage Morris keyring with a tan leather keyfob which dates from the 1960s.

The keyring is in good serviceable condition with a vitreous enamel badge mounted onto a keyfob in genuine tan leather which is well worn in with use like a comfortable pair of boots .

The badge has just one enamel chip in the red enamel on the bull’s back .

Keyrings like this one were produced in their thousands in the 1960s and were very well used in the cars at the time.

Almost all finished up worn out and thrown away or simply lost or discarded – hence very few have remained .

This particular keyring is a rare survivor .

Made at the time by Melsom Products Ltd of Birmingham – their details are cast into the back of the badge and their keyflix brand name is embossed into the leather keyfob beneath the badge.

In the 1960s Melsom Products made keyrings for most makes of car ( British, American & European ) and these were exported worldwide – it was quite an industry.

A top quality British made product made at a time when manufacturing standards of many products were beginning to decline rapidly.

Original & correct for use with any Morris motor car of the period – how many of those cars remaining will now be driven with a completely original keyring like this one ?
