Morris - original vintage 1970s keyring with melsom products badge

An original vintage Morris keyring which we would think will have been produced in the 1970s .

We have just this one example to offer of this original vintage Morris keyring .

The keyring is in very good condition with a vitreous enamel badge mounted onto a keyfob in genuine black leather .

The badge was made by Melsom Products Ltd of Birmingham – their details are cast into the back of the badge .

In the 1960s and early 1970s Melsom Products made keyrings for most makes of car ( British, American & European ) and these were exported worldwide – it was quite an industry.

So far as we know Melsom Products closed in the early 1970s and we would date this keyring as having been made slightly later than that – additionally the badge is not mounted onto one of Melsom’s usual ‘keyflix’ stamped leather keyfobs .

In that case we would think that the keyring was actually made by another manufacturer later in the 1970s using old stock melsom badges .
