An original vintage Henlys keyring which we would think will have been produced in the late 1960s .

We have just this one particular example of this keyring in the photos to offer -when this keyring has been sold this listing will be cancelled .

This keyring is in good condition and is one of very few completely original examples in good condition of these keyrings which we have ever listed over the years.

The keyring is completely original & intact with the vitreous enamel badge mounted onto the original leather keyfob just as it would have been issued with a new Jaguar motor car from the dealership in the 1960s.

Henlys keyrings and badges do come on the market from time to time but the badges almost always have enamel loss and are very rarely still attached to their original leather keyfob .

Almost all Henlys keyfob badges which have seen some use will have enamel loss at the bottom corners of the badge – the badge on this keyring is perfect.

The black leather keyfob is showing considerable wear but is still perfectly serviceable .

In the early to mid 1960s Henlys generally had their keyrings made by P.R.Bradbury, J.Fray or Fattorini & Sons – all three in Birmingham.

By the late 1960s many of the Henlys keyfob badges were being made without a maker’s name – this keyring is one of those .

The reverse of the badge has the original owner’s name & Aldburgh Suffolk UK address etched onto the surface .

Due to UK data protection legislation we have chosen not to include this in the listing photos – but please be aware that the keyfob badge has this personal information on it .

We would consider that this will reduce the value of what would otherwise be a reasonably valuable keyring – so have priced the keyring accordingly .

Henlys Jaguar/Rover dealership was founded in 1947 by Herbert Henly.

The original premises gave it’s name to Henlys Corner on the London North Circular Road and also Henlys Roundabout in Hounslow.

Goodness knows how many Jaguar cars will have passed through the dealership in the 1950s & 1960s.

Needless to say – Bud Marston has a section in his ‘Vintage Jaguar Keyrings’ book featured here in this website shop describing Henlys keyrings.

The keyring in the photos is the actual one which you will receive.
