Porsche – original 1990s new old stock Manhattan Windsor AFN pin badge

An original new old stock AFN Porsche dealership pin badge which we would think will have been issued during the 1990s .

We have just this one example of this pin badge in new old stock condition to offer  – when it has been sold this listing will be cancelled.

We thought we had seen everything Porsche related and then this AFN pin badge turned up !

The only one which we have ever seen and listed .

Produced by Manhattan Products of Birmingham who have become recognised as being the premier manufacturer of a large range of the finest British automotive keyrings ever produced – sadly they closed their doors some time ago having produced keyrings for over 30 years .

This new old stock pin badge has nickel plating with jewellery quality vitreous enamelling of the usual Manhattan Windsor high standard .

This pin badge has never been used and is still mounted onto the original display card.

The initials AFN stood for Archibald ( Archie) Frazer Nash who founded Frazer Nash cars in the 1930s.

In 1954 AFN Ltd signed an agreement and began importing the first Porsche cars into Britain .

In 1956 they became the official importer of Porsche cars into Britain .

They eventually sold out to Porsche in 1987 and had AFN dealerships in the London area.

Pin badges like this one will have been issued with new Porsche cars but probably only for a limited period as this is the only one which we have ever seen

A most interesting item to place with a car known to have originally been supplied by AFN and adding to the provenance of that car considerably .
