Porsche – original early 1970s? acrylic overlay badge remounted onto a new leather keyfob

NOW SOLD – sorry this keyring has now been sold and can no  longer be ordered

An original Porsche keyfob badge which we would think will have been produced in the early 1970s – probably in New Zealand – which we have remounted onto a new leather keyfob as can be seen in the photos .

We have just this one keyring with this badge to offer – when it has been sold this listing will be cancelled .

This badge is in excellent condition and produced in enamelled metal with an acrylic overlay .

The acrylic overlay has ‘yellowed’ to a slight degree over the years as would be expected .

The badge depicts the Porsche crest with the top bar in white – this was discontinued in the early 1970s at the time when the 911 started to be produced with the impact bumper .

Badges like this one are quite distinctive – and we fully expected to find either ‘ MADE IN NEW ZEALAND  ‘ or an inconspicuous ‘ NZ’ on the back of the badge – but found neither !

Even so – we are reasonably sure that this badge will have been made in New Zealand – there was just one badgemaker there at the time producing quite a range of keyfob badges for many makes of vehicle and all having this distinctive acrylic overlay .

A rather nice Porsche keyring with a difference and a badge would be correct for use with any 1960s or early 1970s Porsche motor car .

The keyring in the photos is the actual one which you will receive .  SMOSO   00/59   07/23
