Porsche – original new old stock late 1990s/ early 2000s vitreous enamel ‘heubach’ hinged crest keyring with black leather keyfob

NOW SOLD – sorry this keyring has now been sold and can no longer be ordered

An original Porsche keyring which will have been produced in the late 1990s or early 2000s .

Just this one keyring to offer in black leather – when it has been sold this listing will be cancelled.

These original Porsche ‘heubach’ hinged crest keyrings are original & correct for use with a wide range of Porsche cars – but finding keyrings in good condition is becoming a challenge.

This very late one with a black leather keyfob is in new old stock condition .

These particular Porsche keyrings in excellent or new condition like this example are becoming increasingly more difficult to find .

These original ‘heubach’ Porsche crest keyrings with a vitreous enamel badge hinged onto a genuine leather keyfob with a little leather strap have now become very sought after .

The keyrings were produced with a black or slate grey leather keyfob – those in slate grey leather are considered to be more collectible although the black leather version could have been produced slightly earlier or later ( in this case later .)

Please do not confuse these keyrings with the modern Porsche keyrings with the badge bonded ( not hinged ) onto the surface of the keyfob

This keyring is in new old stock condition with a vitreous enamel badge mounted onto a keyfob in genuine black leather with the trademark ‘plumping’ effect within the keyfob.

Being brand new – the vitreous enamel badge is in mint condition – if the keyring has had any use then the gilt plating on the badge will almost always have rubbed through to reveal the silver base metal beneath – just a ‘whiff’ of gilt plating was applied .

Curiously the splitring is nickel plated whilst the badge is gilt plated – but this is how the keyring was produced so we have left it as it is .

If you would prefer that a gilt plated splitring be fitted then we can do that – just ask at the time of ordering in the customer notes.

It is difficult to date these keyrings exactly as they had a long period of issue but we are advised by one of our customers in Germany that examples like this one will most probably date from the 1990s ( very late 1990s or early 2000s in this case ) – we are grateful for his input.

Earlier keyrings were probably in black leather and also the last of these keyrings produced ( late 1990s & possibly early 2000s ) then seem to have been in black leather again.

This particular example will probably be one of the last ones produced – the jewellery quality vitreous enamel badge is just the same as the earlier examples but the keyfob has been produced in a different grade of leather which does not seem to be quite of the same quality as the earlier keyrings – for this reason the keyring is offered at a lower price than we would usually list these new old stock keyrings .

Keyrings like this one will be original & correct for use with any late 1990s or early 2000s car .

Original examples of these keyrings do appear on internet auction sites from time to time and sometimes at very high prices – but rarely in particularly good condition .

Over the last 3 years the price of classic Porsche motor cars has risen before finally levelling out -this has been reflected in the demand for original keyrings like these to accompany those cars.

The keyring in the photos is the actual one which you will receive . SMOSO  59/00  ( 08/00 offer ) 12/23
