Home / Online Shop / Porsche – original vintage 1970s ‘budget’ keyring with imperfect badge
NOW SOLD – sorry this keyring has now been sold and can no longer be ordered
An original vintage Porsche keyring which we would think will have been produced in the 1970s .
We have just this one example to offer – when it has been sold this listing will be cancelled .
This keyring is in excellent condition but the acrylic badge has been subjected to heat at some stage which has deformed the acrylic – this cannot be seen from the listing photos .
This is only particularly noticeable when the badge is tilted from side to side in the light – maybe the keyring was left outside in fierce sunlight ( maybe not in the UK ! ) or on a radiator .
The acrylic domed badge is mounted onto a keyfob in black faux leather .
Probably made by Renamel of Kilburn High Road , London – they were the main producer of these acrylic badged keyrings at the time although other manufacturers soon started producing keyrings with acrylic badges as well .
Acrylic badged keyrings were produced as ‘budget’ keyrings and were cheaper to buy than their vitreous enamel badged counterparts.
As they were relatively cheap to buy at the time they were not valued – and were soon discarded when they became worn or when the owner changed from a Porsche to another make of car – so these keyrings have not always survived .
The keyring in the photos is the actual one which you will receive . SMOSO 00/52 11/24
