RAC – original late 1960s/ early 1970s Melsom Products Ltd badge mounted onto a later keyfob

Original RAC keyfob badges which will have been produced in the late 1960s or 1970s which were mounted onto keyfobs at a later stage by an unknown concern .

We have just 3 of these keyrings to offer – when all 3 keyrings have been sold then this listing will be cancelled.

The badges mounted onto these keyfobs are brand new old stock nickel plated badges with blue vitreous enamel detail which will have been produced by Melsom Products Ltd of Birmingham during the late 1960s or early 1970s .

Melsom Products Ltd had disappeared by the mid 1970s – and it looks as though these badges were then passed onto another keyring producer who subsequently mounted the badges onto these peardrop keyfobs in black faux leather at a later stage – probably in the late 1970s or 1980s .

These Royal Automobile Club keyrings were very popular at the time and were in much demand by RAC members – especially in cases where a badged keyring was not available for their particular brand of car.
