Home / Online Shop / Regent Oil Company – original 1960s? keyring
1 in stock
The Regent Oil Company badge on this keyring will have been produced in the 1960s and is mounted onto a new keyfob which looks to be a 1970s or 1980s keyfob !
We would think that at some stage this badge has been remounted ( not by us ) onto a later keyfob .
Just this one keyring to offer – when it has been sold this listing will be cancelled.
This is the only complete Regent Oil Company keyring which we have ever listed – we have seen 2 or 3 loose badges but never before a complete keyring.
The vitreous enamel badge is mounted onto a genuine tan leather keyfob.
The nickel plating on the badge has a ‘frosted’ appearance which suggests that it has been used but the leather keyfob is in brand new condition .
The leather keyfob is definitely a Manhattan Windsor of Birmingham keyfob but the badge does not have a maker’s name on the reverse and is certainly not a Manhattan Windsor badge.
We suspect that this 1960s badge has been remounted onto a later leather keyfob at some stage in it’s life.
The Regent Oil Company came about in 1948 and by the mid 1960s was the 3rd largest distribution chain in the UK .
In 1967 Regent Oil Co changed it’s name to Texaco Ltd .
The keyring in the photos is the actual one which you will receive.
