Reliant Scimitar - original late 1960s /1970s AEW keyring in age-worn condition with re-stitched leather keyfob

An original Reliant Scimitar keyring which we would think will have been produced in the late 1960s or 1970s .

We have just this one example of this keyring to offer – when this keyring has been sold this listing will be cancelled.

Please note that this keyring is in age worn condition and the leather keyfob has been re-stitched by us as the original stitching had become loose .

Original Reliant Scimitar keyrings seem to be very scarce items so even though this keyring is in a worn & now repaired condition we felt that it should be listed here in our website shop .

Furthermore the attitude to age worn keyrings like this one has changed dramatically over the last few years – many owners now much prefer a keyring which has ‘ had a life ‘ which matches the condition of their car rather than a new old stock keyring in mint perfection .

This keyring is now in good serviceable condition with a nickel plated badge with black vitreous enamel detail mounted onto a keyfob in genuine black leather .

The plating on the badge is almost complete ( slight wear on the right hand side edge of the badge  ) and with an age associated very light ‘ shot blasted’ effect caused over the years by constant contact with keys in the owner’s pocket !

The keyring was made by AE Wassell of Birmingham – their AEW diamond shaped logo is marked on the back of the badge .

Whilst well patinated and having obviously covered very many miles this keyring now has very many miles left in it yet .

This keyring is original & correct for use with any 1968 onwards Reliant Scimitar .
