Renault Gordini – original 1960s Melsom products badge mounted onto a later leather keyfob

An original Renault Gordini keyfob badge which will have been produced in the 1960s which has been mounted onto a later leather keyfob – probably in the 1970s .

We have just this one keyring with this badge to offer – when it has been sold this listing will be cancelled.

The vitreous enamel badge mounted onto this keyring looks to have never been used – presumably new old stock .

It has been mounted onto a later keyfob in genuine black leather .

Melsom Products Ltd of Birmingham who produced the badge closed their doors in the early 1970s and their remaining stock of badges would have been sold onto other manufacturers at that point .

In the 1960s Melsom Products made keyrings for most makes of car ( British, American & European ) and these were exported worldwide – it was quite an industry.

That manufacturer has then mounted the badge at a later stage onto a new leather keyfob .

The keyfob is also in new condition – it looks as though it will never have been used.

This keyring will be correct for use with any 1960s Renault Gordini motor car.
