Renault - original late 1960s / early 1970s vitreous enamel gear lever badge

The badges in this listing are original items which will have been produced around 50 years ago.

We have just 5 badges to offer – when they have all been sold this listing will be cancelled .

The first 3 badges that are ordered will be supplied with the original sales cards – the final 2 badges will be supplied loose.

These 5 badges are original vintage items dating from the late 1960s or early 1970s and were made by Melsom Products of Birmingham.

Melsoms are very well known for the keyrings which they made in the 1960s and early 1970s.

These vitreous enamel badges are new old stock and 3 are still mounted onto the original sales presentation as can be seen in the photos .

They would have been intended for using on gear levers or as bonnet badges etc.

The adhesive on the back of the badges may have seen better days after around 50 years !

If you intend to mount the badge then it would be best to clean the old adhesive off the back of the badge and then use araldite or a similar adhesive. Let us know what you intend to use the badge for – and we can then advise.
