£39.95

1 in stock

An original new old stock Riley keyring which will have been produced in the 1960s ( with a 1950s design badge )

Just this one example to offer – when this keyring has been sold this listing will be cancelled.

This keyring is in new old stock condition with a vitreous enamel badge mounted onto a keyfob in genuine black leather .

Although new old stock, a tiny flake of nickel plating has disappeared from the diamond around ‘Riley’ – this can just about be seen in the enlarged high resolution listing photos but is hardly noticeable at life size when viewed with the naked eye .

By the style of the leather keyfob and the fact that it came to us with other Freeline keyrings we know that this keyring was made by Freeline of Bristol .

Freeline will have made the badge – but this will probably have been made using a badge die originally produced by Simons Concessionaires of London in the late 1950s .

When Simons closed in the early 1960s – Freeline will have bought their badge dies and then cast badges like this one out of those dies.

Freeline’s keyrings had vitreous enamel badges mounted onto distinctive sharp shouldered keyfobs in a very good grade of genuine black leather .

They were a small concern compared to Melsom Products of Birmingham who were the main automotive keyring producer at the time .

Freeline produced a surprising range of keyrings but in relatively small numbers – so examples of their keyrings especially in mint condition like this one are few and far between .

The keyring in the photos is the actual one which you will receive and is original & correct for use with any 1960s Riley motor car .
