Riley - original vintage early 1960s new old stock IBEX keyring

Original vintage new old stock Riley keyrings which will have been produced in the early 1960s .

These keyrings are in new old stock condition with a jewellery quality vitreous enamel badge mounted onto a keyfob in genuine black leather which was known in the trade as ‘elephant hide’ due to the most attractive heavily grained texture of the leather .

The white enamel has the very slightest trace of yellow staining which is so faint that it does not really show up in the photos ( a couple of badges photographed close up ) – the staining is hardly noticeable but best mentioned.

Made in England in the 1960s by a firm of leathergoods manufacturers known as ‘IBEX’  who were founded in Northamptonshire in 1957 .

IBEX went on to produce a very well known range of leather belts which were sold all over the world .

We do sometimes come across these early IBEX keyrings for other makes of car with their most distinctive ‘ elephant hide ‘ keyfobs which are always marked ‘ MADE IN BRITAIN’ on the reverse of the badge ( how often do you read that phrase nowadays ? )

These keyrings are original & correct for any late 1950s or 1960s Riley motor car .
