£29.95 each is not a mis-print !!
That is the price that we are charging for these superb original torpedo keyrings !
These keyrings have got to be the very best Rover keyrings which we have ever listed – and also the very best priced for original 50 year old new old stock torpedos !
We have just a few of these to offer but were able to buy them in at a good price – so are able to list them at a very good price – don’t miss out on one of these !
They are the only examples of this design which we have ever seen and are reasonably sure that we will not see any more.
The keyrings are new old stock – so are in mint condition.
The vitreous enamel badges are mounted onto genuine leather torpedo keyfobs gold embossed ‘ Real Morocco Made in England’
Morocco was a term used for goatskin – and the fine pebbly appearance of the leather suggests that this is indeed goatskin.
Torpedo keyrings were made by Castles Unit Developments of Castle Gate Leicester UK in the early 1960s. They were the only manufacturer making torpedos.
It is believed that Castles then changed their name very briefly to ‘Craftsman’ before ceasing production altogether. We do very occasionally come across torpedo keyrings marked ‘Craftsman’. An American connection has also been rumoured but so far has not substantiated.
Morocco leather is more an American term than a British one – even though the keyfob is gold embossed ‘Made In England’.
These keyrings are original & correct for use with any 1960s Rover motor car.
How many of those cars which remain will be driven with an original keyring from the time like this one ?
When all the keyrings have been sold then this listing will cancel.
