Saab – original early 1970s Manhattan Products vitreous enamel ‘airplane’ badge remounted onto a new leather keyfob

An original Saab keyfob badge which will have been produced in the early 1970s.

When this keyring with this badge has been sold this listing will be cancelled.

We recently listed one of these rare badges still mounted onto it’s original keyfob – this was the only complete example of this type which we had seen and listed over the last 10 years.

We are now listing an original badge which we have remounted onto a new keyfob handcut in the same peardrop shape as the original and in full grain black leather .

This badge is in black vitreous enamel and is in excellent condition.

Very few of these keyrings with this badge can have been made at the time.

In the early 1970s almost all keyrings & keyfob badges for the world’s cars were made in England – it was quite an industry.

This badge was made by Manhattan Products of Birmingham – who also used the name Manhattan Windsor – the most well known and prolific manufacturer of top quality automotive keyrings at the time.
