Santa Pod Raceway - original 1970s vitreous enamel badge remounted onto a new leather keyfob

An original Santa Pod Raceway keyfob badge which will probably have been produced in the 1970s which we have remounted onto a new leather keyfob as can be seen in the photos.

This original vitreous enamel badge is in excellent condition and is the only example which we have ever seen and listed .

We would think that it will date from the 1970s but could be just a few years earlier and could have been issued when the Raceway opened in 1966 .

Santa Pod was Europe’s 1st permanent drag racing venue and was sited on a disused World War II airbase which had been used by USAAF 92nd bomb group during WWII .
