An original vintage torpedo keyring with the Singer ‘Spires’ badge in translucent red vitreous enamel dating from the late 1950s or very early 1960s and in mint condition – new old stock.
Made by Castle Units Developments of Castle Gate, Leicester UK.
Castles made their torpedo car keyrings and exported them for use all over the world to wherever the cars themselves were being exported.
The back of the keyfob is embossed ‘Made in England’ ( hard to read ) and the keyfob is in genuine leather. CUD called this pebbly black leather ‘Morocco leather’ which was their term for goatskin. Certainly the pebbly grain of the leather would suggest that it is goatskin.
This keyring is original & correct for early 1960s Singer – but could have been bought for use with earlier cars such as SM1500/Hunter and Singer Nine at the time- and would certainly look to be the correct period if used in an earlier car.
If you are not happy with your purchase for any reason or cancel your order – a full refund will be given
