A superb Charles Horner keychain depicting Saint Christopher – the patron Saint of travellers .

Various depictions of St. Christopher were very popular keyrings & keychains for use in cars in the 1950s and 1960s.

This keychain medallion shows St. Christopher in very much more original detail than on most keyrings/keychains of the time- because this is Charles Horner’s own depiction of the theme.

Charles Horner were the famous producers of silver jewellery & vitreous enamel jewellery based at no. 23 Northgate Halifax England .

They were in existence from the time of Charles Horner himself in the 19th Century up until 1984 when they went into voluntary liquidation .

This medallion is in solid sterling silver which is hallmarked on the back of the badge.

The lion passant guardant mark determines that the item is in 925/1000 sterling silver .

The anchor mark is for the Birmingham assay office where the item was assayed.

The letter ‘S’ tells us that the medallion was produced in 1967 .

It is only the medallion that is in sterling silver – the snakechain & splitring are in nickel plated metal .

The keychain in the photos is the actual one which you will receive.

We can think of no better way of guaranteeing your safety in your journeys through life than in using this keychain !
