Original Vintage & Restored Leather Keyrings for Classic Cars & Motorcycles

Standard Triumph - original late 1950s keyring in blue leather - collector's item

£75.00

1 in stock

An original Standard Triumph keyring which will have been produced in the late 1950s .

We have just this one keyring with this badge to offer – when this keyring has been sold this listing will be cancelled .

This keyring is in virtually mint condition – probably new old stock having never been used .

A rare item – so far as we can remember we have never listed an original Standard Triumph keyring in this condition before .

The vitreous enamel badge is mounted onto a keyfob in genuine blue leather with contrasting light stitching .

Details of the car can be inserted behind the clear plastic panel set in the back of the keyfob – one side of the keyfob is open and not stitched  to allow this .

Having concentrated on producing motorcycles – Triumph entered receivership in 1939 just as war started .

It was rescued by Standard Motor Co. and soon out-shone it’s rescuer with the new range of TR sports cars which took the world by storm .

Meanwhile the word ‘Standard’ began to mean just ‘regular’ or ‘basic’ in modern language !

This keyring would be correct for use with Triumph Roadster , Renown & Mayflower – this keyring was produced a few years later than the cars themselves but owners  could have bought a keyring like this one to use with their cars as keyrings with this badge became available .

Would also be correct for  TR2 & TR3 ( & TR3A ) – both of which had very few keyrings produced at the time specifically for TR2 & TR3 .

The keyring in the photos is the actual one which you will receive.
