Sterling Silver 1996 hallmarked keyfob medallion mounted onto a keyfob in genuine black leather

A sterling silver keyfob medallion which will have been produced in 1996 mounted onto a keyfob in genuine black leather .

We have just this one keyring to offer with this medallion  – when it has been sold this listing will be cancelled .

This keyring is in excellent condition and could be used exactly as it is as a most attractive keyring with a difference.

Alternatively the medallion could be engraved and would then make a superb present .

The sterling silver medallion is hallmarked with the lion ( denoting that the piece was produced in Britain )

It is stamped 925 – which is the minimum standard for sterling silver  – being 92.50% silver with 7.50% additional metal .

The anchor hallmark denotes that the piece was hallmarked in Birmingham UK and the ‘script’ W is the date stamp for 1996 – the year which the piece was hallmarked in .

‘AN’ within a shield tells us that the piece was produced by Ari D Norman whose workshop was in Argenta Way London NW10 between 1981 & 2000 – producing candlesticks, keyrings like this one, book marks , mustard & pepperettes .

Whilst the piece was produced in London it was hallmarked in Birmingham .

The flat splitring matches the medallion but is not in sterling silver –  it is in polished nickel plating ( or could be silver plating )

For the ultimate keyring you could have the medallion engraved with your own choice of engraving at any jewellers who offer an engraving service .

The keyfob is in genuine corrected grain black leather – corrected grain means that the top layer of leather with the grain has been removed leaving a smooth consistent finish ,
