Tatra – original 1980s/ 1990s ? keychain

An original Tatra keychain which is difficult for us to date as we have never seen another example !

We have just this one example of this keychain – when it has been sold this listing will be cancelled.

This keychain is in virtually new condition with a plated metal badge or medallion with an acrylic overlay .

The badge measures 40mm in width & height .

The badge is connected to the key clasp by means of a few links of chain .

The keyclasp unscrews as shown in the photos to allow key (s) to be added.

The keyclasp with the threaded section and knurled nut is something which we see on relatively early keychains and this leads us to believe that this keychain does have some age about it .

However the acrylic overlay over the badge detail is something which began to be seen in the 1980s so we know that this keychain is unlikely to be any older than that .

In that case we would hazard a guess that this keychain was produced in the late 1980s or 1990s – but could be a decade out either way .

Please do not purchase this keychain assuming that it is a vintage item because it most probably is not .

Tatra is a Czech vehicle manufacturer building the Tatra 603 until 1975.

This was replaced by the Tatra 613 which was built from 1973 until 1996 .

The Tatra 700 was then built from 1996 onwards.

The keychain in the photos is the actual one which you will receive .
