Toyota – vitreous enamel badge remounted onto a new leather keyfob

Two new vitreous enamel Toyota keyfob badges which will have been produced in Birmingham within the last few years which we have mounted onto new leather keyfobs .

These are not original vintage badges – they will have been produced just a few years ago and are not to be confused with original vintage badges from the 1970s – these badges were made much later.

We are currently listing a keyring with a similar badge but in red vitreous enamel which is an original badge from the 1970s made by Melsom Products Ltd ( unless now sold )

The blue vitreous enamel badges on these 2 keyrings in this listing will not have been made by Melsom Products Ltd as they will have been made much later and are not original keyfob badges .

We have just two keyrings with this badge to offer  – when both have been sold this listing will be cancelled.

Superb quality ‘old school’ vitreous enamel badges like these were produced in Birmingham  – probably from the original  badge dies – and were available up until quite recently .

2 or 3 years ago we did list and sell a couple of these badges which we had remounted onto new leather keyfobs just the same but these are the first blue vitreous enamel Toyota keyfob badges which we have received since then .

We have remounted both badges onto new leather keyfobs in black saddlery hide.

Sadly vitreous enamel badges like these are apparently no longer produced in England .

These badges look identical to the original keyfob badges which were produced  – but these badges are not  original  badges, they were produced much later .

New reproduction badges will now usually be produced in modern resin based enamel – not vitreous enamel like these – and are most unlikely to have been produced in England.
