Triumph 2000 - original 1980s? new old stock keyring

£45.00

1 in stock

An original new old stock Triumph 2000 keyring which we would think will have been produced in the 1980s at which time there were still lots of Triumph 2000 cars in daily use on the roads and in need of keyrings .

We have just this one example of this keyring to offer – when this keyring has been sold this listing will be cancelled.

This keyring is in new old stock condition with a vitreous enamel badge mounted onto a keyfob in black faux leather .

The badge is mounted onto the keyfob by means of an aluminium rivet securing the badge loop – this method of keyring construction carried on through the 1980s into the 1990s and possibly beyond then .

‘Made in England’ marked on the back of the badge – almost certainly this keyring would have been made in Birmingham.

The badge actually looks to have been made earlier than when the keyring itself was made – the manufacturer of the keyring was probably using up some old stock badges at the time.

At that time almost all keyrings for the world’s cars were still being made in England although that was soon about to change .

Whilst being budget priced keyrings like this one were well made and had a genuine jewellery quality vitreous enamel badge .

New keyrings nowadays invariably have modern resin based enamel badges as vitreous enamel keyfob badges like the one mounted onto this keyring are apparently no longer produced in England .

The keyring in the photos is the actual one which you will receive.
