Triumph motorcycle – original 1960s Melsom Products cobalt blue enamel badge remounted onto a new leather keyfob

This keyring has an original Triumph motorcycle keyfob badge dating from the 1960s.

Made by the well known Melsom Products of Birmingham who produced car & motorcycle keyrings in the 1960s & early 1970s.

This vitreous enamel badge in deep blue cobalt enamel is in very good condition although the enamel surface of the badge does have some scratches and scrapes – we have tilted the badge in a light source to show these as best we can although it makes the scratches and scrapes look worse than they actually are !!

Please bear in mind that you will be looking at the badge at lifesize and not enlarged like the photo……and will not be tilting it around to show up the scratches when in use !

These keyrings with these badges were used on open motorcycles in all weathers and very few keyrings or badges have survived intact over the last 50 years.

We have listed very few of these badges in good condition like this one over the years – the last one was listed and sold in February 2022 ( apart from the road worn Sculthorp badge keyring currently listed unless now sold )

These keyfob badges were known as ‘drop’ badges ( like a drop of water ) and are the keyfob badges which we all associate with classic Triumph motorcycles.
