1 in stock

An original Triumph motorcycle keyfob badge which will have been produced in the early 1960s which we have remounted onto a new leather keyfob as can be seen in the photos.

We have just this one keyring with this badge to offer – when this keyring with this badge has been sold this listing will be cancelled.

This keyring has an original Triumph motorcycle keyfob badge dating from the early 1960s- these original badges are very scarce although unusually we did have another in similar condition but not marked with a maker’s mark recently – it sold remounted very quickly .

This badge is in road-worn condition and none the less attractive because of that !

It is still in perfectly serviceable condition and attitudes to road-worn badges and keyrings like this one have changed very dramatically over the last few years .

A badge in this condition would have been considered unsaleable a few years ago but many owners now prefer a badge or keyring which has had a life – as this one obviously has !

These keyrings with these badges were used on open motorcycles in all weathers and very few keyrings or badges have survived intact over the last 50 + years.

This particular example in cobalt blue vitreous enamel bears all the hall marks of an active life on the road – chips & scuffs & wear to the nickel plating

Sculthorp of London’s details are marked on the reverse of the badge – Sculthorps were one of only two concerns which specialised in making keyrings & badges for motorcycles and we have listed very few of their Triumph keyrings or badges over the years .

Now remounted onto a new keyfob in black saddlery hide – the badge is ready for it’s next 50 years back on the road again .

These keyfob badges were known as ‘drop’ badges ( like a drop of water ) and are the keyfob badges which we all associate with classic Triumph motorcycles.

The keyring in the photos is the actual one which you will receive.
