An original Triumph keyfob badge which will have been produced in the 1960s which we have remounted onto a new leather keyfob as can be seen in the photos.

Just this one keyring with this badge to offer – when it has been sold this listing will be cancelled.

This lovely original vitreous enamel on gilt badge was made by the Alexander Co. in the 1960s.

Alexanders were well know for producing keyrings & badges and many other motoring accessories at that time.

The badge is in very good condition and would have originally received a ‘whiff’ of lacquer to keep the gilt plating bright .

As the badge is tilted from side to side some historic abrasion can be seen on the surface of the enamel beneath the lacquer  – this badge is over 50 years old and will most probably have travelled very many thousands of miles during it’s long life and is ready for many thousands of miles yet !

Some patination is to be expected of a badge of this age which will have seen considerable use.

We have reapplied a thin coat of lacquer which will tend to wear off as the keyring is used- this is what would have happened originally .

As the lacquer wears thin – the gilt plating will remain bright whilst the keyring is in regular use and will tend to dull during periods when the keyring is not used.

A quick rub over with any metal polish ( Brasso etc) should quickly restore the shine.

The keyring in the photos is the actual one which you will receive.
