An original  Triumph World keyring which will have been produced in the late 1950s .

Just this one example to offer – when this keyring has been sold this listing will be cancelled.

A rare original Triumph World keyring dating from the late 1950s.

The keyring is in good serviceable condition with a nickel plated badge mounted onto a keyfob in genuine tan pigskin leather .

Very few if any of these keyrings will have survived in any condition after over 60 years !

The badge would originally have contained enamel ( coach enamel rather than vitreous enamel ) within all the badge segments but much of the enamel has disappeared over the years .

We consider this to be of little importance as the general appearance of the badge in the original polished nickel finish looks just fine with just the red enamel remaining .

The badge is mounted onto a keyfob in genuine tan pigskin leather – this was ( and still is ! ) an expensive commodity which was usually reserved for keyrings for prestige makes of car such as Aston Martin & Jaguar .

Pigskin leather was prized for it’s appearance and also it’s durability which made it ideal for keyrings – this keyfob bears this out as the keyfob is in very good condition with all the hall marks of 60 years of honest wear as you would expect – plenty of miles left in it yet !

Pigskin leather is relatively stiff material – the leather loop at the top of the keyfob where the splitring passes through has become supple with use but is still strong enough to do it’s job .

Made in England by SCHALL  ( SC HALL ) .

The Triumph World ( or Triumph Globe ) logo featured on many Triumph cars of the 1950s and early 1960s .

This keyring is original & correct for use with any 1950s or very early 1960s Triumph motor car and was probably produced with TR2 & TR3 in mind .

The keyring in the photos is the actual one which you will receive.
