Triumph TR2 - original Manhattan Windsor keyfob badge remounted onto a new leather keyfob - collector's item

An original Triumph TR2 keyfob badge which will have probably have been produced in the 1970s – for use with classic TR2s – which we have remounted onto a new leather keyfob as can be seen in the photos .

We have just this one keyring with this badge to offer – when this keyring has been sold this listing will be cancelled.

As often happened – keyrings were produced a couple of decades after the cars themselves were produced because hardly any keyrings ( if any ) had been produced for that model at the time .

We generally only describe a keyring as a ‘collector’s item ‘ when the keyring has the original badge still mounted to the original keyfob – but in this case the badge is so rare that we consider it to be a collector’s item .

Over the years we have only previously listed just one original period keyring dating from the late 1950s for Triumph TR2 – it is doubtful if any keyrings were produced for the car at the time when the car was new. 

Car keyrings only just started to appear in the mid 1950s which was the final year of production for the TR2 .

This badge is in mint condition with beautiful jewellery grade vitreous enamel and was made by the very well known Manhattan Windsor Co. of Birmingham most probably in the 1970s .

It is the only example of this Manhattan Windsor badge which we have ever listed and is a very rare item.

Manhattan Windsor produced the very finest quality keyrings and keyfob badges – their details are marked on the back of the badge .

We have remounted the badge onto a new keyfob in full grain black leather .
