Triumph TR3 – brand new bespoke ‘one-off’ vitreous enamel badge mounted onto a keyring in tan pigskin leather

A brand new ‘one-off’ vitreous enamel TR3 badge which was produced by a small British vitreous enamelling company renowned for producing  jewellery quality bespoke badges .

The badge will have been produced relatively recently – it is not a vintage item – and we have remounted it onto a new keyfob in genuine tan pigskin leather .

This has to be the ultimate keyring for a Triumph TR3 !

Original TR3 keyrings are very rare items and it may be for that reason that this badge was produced – the customer may have wanted a perfect TR3 keyring and couldn’t find one .

So far as we are aware this is the only TR3 badge which this enamelling company will have ever produced – possibly for a cancelled order .

Or possibly they produce 2 badges in response to a commission as a safeguard against any quality issue with one of the badges .

They made no comment – but we had to pay ‘the going rate ‘ for the badge !

A superb quality badge of the very highest order – and we see vitreous enamel badges day in & day out so are well qualified to comment !

Such a badge had to be mounted onto the very best leather – so we mounted it onto a keyfob in genuine tan pigskin leather as can be seen in the photos .

Our small stock of pigskin leather came to us a few years ago from a closed Midlands factory which had been using it for covering hip flasks and producing wallets & purses.

Pigskin leather was sometimes used for keyfobs in the 1950s & 1960s usually for prestige cars such as Aston Martin & Jaguar .

It has always been a ‘luxurious’ material and prized for it’s appearance and durability which makes it ideal for producing keyrings which do receive a lot of handling .

Yes – this keyring is expensive – but quality always was .

This is not ‘just’ a keyring…………….it is TR3 jewellery and the perfect item for that TR3 owner who has everything ( apart from this keyring !)
