Vauxhall - original vintage 1960s Polco keyring with black vinyl keyfob

An original Vauxhall keyring which will have been produced in the 1960s.

We have just this one example of this keyring to offer – when this keyring has been sold this listing will be cancelled.

Very few keyrings like this one will have survived over the last 60 years .

It is a rare example and we have never listed another one like it .

This keyring is in excellent condition with a vitreous enamel badge mounted onto a keyfob in black vinyl .

Vinyl was commonly used for keyfobs at the time – it was seen as a new material and much more interesting than ‘boring’ old leather .

The back of the badge is marked ‘POLCO Made in England’.

‘POLCO’ stood for ‘Pool Clock Company’ who were located in Aldersgate Street in London EC1 and only produced keyrings for a short time so far as we know – always with this distinctive shield shaped keyfob badge .

We do occasionally see other keyrings for other makes of car made by POLCO.
