Velocette – original vintage new old stock 1970s keyring with original 1960s melsom keyfob badge

Original Velocette keyrings which will probably have been produced in the 1970s .

We have 7 examples of these keyrings to offer -when all these keyrings have been sold then this listing will be cancelled .

The keyrings are in new old stock condition and we would think that they will have been produced during the 1970s.

Interestingly the badges mounted onto the keyfobs are original badges which were produced by Melsom Products of Birmingham in the 1960s and have their details on the back of the badges.

The badges are in vitreous enamel whilst the keyfobs are in black faux leather .

We commonly see this – where original badges which were never used at the time crop up at a later stage mounted onto a later keyfob .

Melsoms ceased production in the very early 1970s and the stock of their badges would have been bought by another keyring manufacturer and used at a later stage .

These keyrings will be regarded as original & correct for late 1950s to 1971 Velocette motorcycles including MSS & then Viper to 1968.

Also Venom & Thruxton to February 1971 when Veloce sadly closed.

This badge design has been reproduced by others in modern resin based enamel and is sometimes available on internet auction sites .

Those reproduction badges do not have ‘Melsom Products Birmingham’ on the back of the badges and are not made using genuine vitreous enamel like these badges.
