Volkswagen - original 1960s Premier Badges London vitreous enamel Wolfsburg shield with enamel flaws remounted onto a new leather keyfob

An original Volkswagen keyfob badge which will have been produced in the 1960s which we have remounted onto a new leather keyfob as can be seen in the photos.

Just this one keyring with this badge with enamel chips to offer – when it has been sold this listing will be cancelled.

An original vitreous enamel Volkswagen Wolfsburg crest keyfob badge which is in fair condition for it’s age .

These badges are rare and a degree of damage often has to be accepted in the case of these badges .

Some enamel chips in the light powder blue enamel at the base of the badge but thankfully none affecting the main Wolf & Castle in the centre of the badge although there is some wear to the nickel plating in that area .

The enamel chips can be seen in the enlarged high resolution listing photos .

The badge was made by Premier Badges of London whose details are cast into the back of the badge .

Curiously CUD ( Castles Unit Development Co. of Leicester ) also made an identical badge at the time – there may have been a tie-up between the two companies or maybe one comapany poached the design off the other ?? ……………We shall never know .

We have remounted the badge onto a new keyfob in black saddlery hide .
