Volkswagen Polo – original new old stock 1980s/ early 1990s keyring with acrylic badge

A couple of original Volkswagen Polo keyrings which we would think will have been produced in the 1980s or early 1990s .

We have just these 2 keyrings to offer – when both have been sold this listing will be cancelled.

This listing is to buy just one keyring .

These keyrings are in new old stock condition with acrylic dome badges mounted onto keyfobs in black faux leather – they will never have been used.

Renamel of London produced some of the first acrylic badged keyrings like these in the late 1970s & early 1980s which had the very real advantage over traditional vitreous enamel badged keyrings in that the badge did not crack or break when dropped onto a hard surface .

Other keyring manufacturers were quick to follow their lead – we do not think that these 2 keyrings will have been produced by Renamel .

These 2 keyrings will have been produced as budget priced keyrings but were well made and were produced in considerable numbers but not many like these will have survived particularly in this condition – so we would regard these keyrings as being rare survivors of a keyring in common use at the time and as such will be original & correct for use in a car produced around the same time .
