These 3 badges are original vintage items dating from the 1960s and were made by Melsom Products of Birmingham. Melsoms are very well known for the keyrings which they made in the 1960s and early 1970s.
These vitreous enamel badges are new old stock and are still mounted onto the original yellow cards
( The one in the photo still has the original AUTOMOTIF label affixed but the one you will receive will still be on the original yellow card but will have a copy of that AUTOMOTIF label attached .
These badges would have been intended for inlaying into gear levers knobs or aftermarket steering wheels etc.
Each badge measures 1″ ( 25mm ) in diameter .
The adhesive on the back of the badges may have seen better days after around 50 years !
If you intend to mount the badge then it would be best to clean the old adhesive off the back of the badge and then use araldite or a similar adhesive. Let us know what you intend to use the badge for – and we can then advise.
