1 in stock
An original Yamaha keyfob badge which we would think will have been produced in the late 1960s or possibly the early 1970s which we have remounted onto a new leather keyfob as can be seen in the photos .
We have just this one example of this keyring with this badge to offer -when this keyring has been sold this listing will be cancelled.
This gilt plated vitreous enamel badge is in really excellent condition – the vitreous enamelling is so fresh and lustrous that it looks as though it was fired only yesterday .
Tiny yellow ‘dots’ in the red enamel at the top of the badge are mothing to worry about – they are ‘splatter’ within the red enamel from when the yellow enamel was in the liquid state before being fired.
In the late 1960s the enamel was still being hand laid and interesting things like this happened !
The gilt plating has mellowed over the years to give a most attractive ‘ old gold’ appearance as gilt plating always does .
We have remounted the badge onto a new keyfob in black saddlery hide and have fitted a splitring with a plated finish to match the mellow gilt plating on the badge .
‘ MADE IN ENGLAND ‘ cast into the back of the badge – how ironic that Yamaha was one of the motorcycles which spelled doom for the British motorcycle industry .
At that time almost all keyrings for the world’s cars & bikes were made in England – it was quite an industry .
The keyring in the photos is the actual one which you will receive .
