A genuine original vintage early Momo Protipo steering wheel which will fit Porsche 911 1972 – 1989 .

The Momo horn button which is included is not an original part – it is a reproduction item from UK based Bella Volante .

This steering wheel was originally bought in early 2019 and fitted into a 1981 911SC which had been restored and converted to RS spec. by Historika of Suffolk .

Hub fitting kits can be obtained at a very reasonable price from Bella Volante.

The steering wheel is in excellent original condition – diameter is slightly below 350mm .

The black leather is soft & supple with some wear commensurate with it’s age and use – without this it would simply look like a new wheel.

The stitching in white thread is in excellent condition and tight with seams which are straight & even .

Leather thumb protectors are tightly bonded with no seam separation .

The wheel is slightly dished and the finish on the spokes is completely unmarked .

A superb item and so much nicer to handle than modern versions – particularly those without thumb protectors .

Quite a bargain as this wheel + horn button was purchased for £ 738 in February 2019 – receipt will be provided .

This particular wheel could also be fitted to Ferrari .

Momo was founded in Italy in 1964 and the production plant in Tregano ( Verona Italy ) was opened in 1969.

Momo steering wheels were specified as original equipment & as upgrades for many car manufacturers including Porsche, Ferrari, BMW & Alfa Romeo .
